A recent story in the Austin Business Journal indicated that Austin was in the top 20 fastest growing regions in the country based on the U.S. Census.  The greater Austin area jumped 21% in population between 2000 and 2006.  All of these people need places to live - demand and prices just keeping going up for Austin!  Here is a link to the article:
