Thus you will pay for the central Austin lifestyle. Expect to find small 1930's era bungalows priced in the high $200k range - new construction priced in the high $500k range and luxury high rise condos starting in the high $600K range all the way up to several million. But again you get what you pay for and in this instance it's all about the location!

West Austin real estate offers a wealth of desirable housing. Homes in West Austin enjoy the privacy of larger lot sizes and often feature winding entrances. Whether you're looking for a lakefront home or a hill top view, you'll find it in West Austin. A West Austin address has cache, as some of Austin's most prized neighborhoods are located in this Austin region: Barton Creek, Davenport, Seven Oaks and Rob Roy to name a few. EAST AUSTIN

East Austin has experienced a construction boom in recent years, as city leaders and local builders saw the opportunity to re-gentrify the area. Though some would say it's necessary it's bittersweet to those that have called East Austin home for generations. Because with growth and the investment in roads, homes, and business there also comes the higher property values. The area boasts great local restaurants (e.g. Hoover’s, Eastside Café, Juan in a Million, Vivo, Cisco’s and many more), businesses and many new developments such as the mueller development. You’ll find a variety of homes on the East side. From very inexpensive homes to manufactured and pier and beam homes to the majestic restored Victorians, new condos and production homes. It can be said that the east side boasts a rich community life - you can find a little bit of everything over here!
